What happens during my first appointment with the Crossroads team?
The first visit includes a confidential assessment where the team reviews your substance use history, medical needs, treatment goals, and insurance or payment information to determine the right starting point — whether that's outpatient MAT, ambulatory detox, counseling, or telemedicine.
Does the Crossroads team treat mental health conditions alongside addiction?
Yes. The team treats co-occurring conditions commonly seen alongside addiction, including anxiety, depression, hypertension, and Hepatitis C, rather than addressing substance use in isolation.
Can I continue seeing the same provider through telemedicine after my first visit?
Yes, for eligible patients. Geaux 2 Recovery connects patients with the same Crossroads treatment team for ongoing care after the required initial in-person consultation.
